The story starts with the aged heroin's visit Angamnae of Donam-dong, where her first love had lived in the past. He moved to her neighborhood, but it takes a few years that their love actually began, when they happened to meet in a streetcar after work. And they spent the winter as splendid as a bead in her all life, wandering over Seoul in ruins after the Korean War in the 1950s. But he was poor and unemployed, and she had to support her family of five. Finally she could not but split up with him and marry Minho, a banker.
