Otherwise, only 70% of the product price (minus 30% restocking fee) will be refunded. In either case, the condition of the returned item should be intact, undamaged,
and unopened if they are CDs or DVDs. The shipping fee will NOT be refunded, unless there was an error made by HanBooks.com with regards to the shipment.
- Returns of opened electronic dictionaries will never be accepted, absolutely
with no exception. Returns of unopened electronic dictionaries within 1 week of receipt of the
item do not qualify for a full refund, and only 85% of the product price (minus
15% restocking fee) will be refunded if returned within 1 week. Returns of
unopened electronic dictionaries after 1 week of receipt of the item will not be
accepted, and there will not be any refund issued.
- Refunds are issued in two different forms. One is a refund back to the credit card entered at the point the original order was placed. The other is a refund as a HanBooks.com coupon that can be used when placing an order. Please specify which form of refund you would like us to issue.

services).
- If a package is returned to us, the shipper, due to customer's error (wrong
address) or unavailability (no receiver present at the provided address or no
attempt to retrieve at the designated courier's facility), we will reship it as
long as the customer pays two times the shipping fee (return shipping cost
charged on us by the courier services + reshipping cost). Otherwise, the order is considered as returned
without authorization and the
total order amount minus 30% of the product price (restocking fee) will be refunded to the credit card.
- We do not accept returns of any items whose condition is not intact and undamaged.
- We absolutely do not accept returns of any opened CDs, DVDs, or electronic
dictionaries, with no exception.
- We do not accept returns of magazines, unless they are
defective.
- We do not accept returns of items in Living section, unless they are
defective.
- DVDs marked as "Region 3" are not viewable in non-Region 3 regions such as USA/Canada (Region 1) and Japan/Europe (Region 2) unless they are played on a code-(region-)free DVD player. We do NOT accept returns of any opened DVD for this incompatibility. So please be cautious, and if you are not sure about this, please contact us
before you order. For your reference, following is i
nfo on DVD Region
Code.
DVD Region Code
Info
Motion picture studios in the USA wanted to control the release of movies around
the world using DVD region codes. Movies are released on DVD at different times
around the world, typically America and Canada first, Australia and Japan 6
months later, and Europe 12 months after US release. In some instances, DVD
movies are available for purchase in America and Canada before they are released
in European cinemas. Due to the high quality of DVD and the movie release system
used by Hollywood, 6 regions were established to prevent people from watching
Region 1 movies before they were released on Regions 2-6. The Region Code is
usually specified on the back of the individual DVD packages, either with a
Regional Coding logo of a globe with the region number superimposed over it, or
specifically spelled out.
The regions are broken down as follow:
* Region 1 - U.S., U.S. Territories, Canada, and Bermuda
* Region 2 - Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle
East, including Egypt
* Region 3 - Southeast Asia, East Asia, including Korea and Hong Kong
* Region 4 - Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Mexico,
Central America, South America, and the Caribbean
* Region 5 - Former Soviet Union, Indian subcontinent,
Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia
* Region 6 - China
This means that DVD movies from Region 1 (USA & Canada) WILL NOT play on a non-code-free DVD
player in regions 2-6. Effectively Region 1 DVDs play only on Region 1 DVD
players, Region 2 DVDs play only on Region 2 DVD players, Region 3 DVDs play only on Region 3 DVD players, and so on. If you
purchased your DVD player at any regular electronics chain store, chances are
you have not purchased a code-free or multi-region DVD player. If you're still
unsure, simply attempt to view an overseas DVD you may already have around to
see whether it will play or not on your DVD player. Hence came the needs for the code-free DVD
player that is capable of playing DVD discs from anywhere in the world. There
are stores both online and offline that carry these code-free DVD players, which
unfortunately we are not able to provide any information of for you. If you're
interested, we would recommend that you try some searches online first.
Blu-ray Region Codes
Blu-ray Discs may be encoded with a region code, intended to restrict the area
of the world in which they can be played, similar in principle to the DVD region
codes, although the used geographical regions differ. Blu-ray Disc players sold
in a certain region may only play discs encoded for that region. The purpose of
this system is to allow motion picture studios to control the various aspects of
a release (including content, date, and in particular price) according to the
region. Discs may also be produced without region coding, so they can be played
on all devices.
Region code Area
A Americas; East and Southeast Asia; U.S. territories; Bermuda
B Africa, Europe, Oceania; Middle East; Kingdom of the Netherlands; British
overseas territories, French territories; Greenland.
C Central and South Asia; Mongolia, Russia, and People's Republic of China.
