About This Book
As a follow-up to the series "100 Korean Idioms & Slang," which is designed for Korean learners interested in K-culture, a new book titled "100 Korean Speech Patterns" is set to be published. This new volume helps learners master vivid, real-life Korean through expressions featured in K-dramas.
"100 Korean Speech Patterns" is aimed at intermediate to advanced learners of Korean. Based on lines from K-dramas, the book analyzes common speech habits of Koreans and is composed of 50 expressions and 50 sentence patterns. Each expression and pattern is accompanied by illustrations inspired by actual drama scenes, allowing learners to intuitively understand the context. It also includes simple quizzes that encourage learners to guess the meanings first.
The explanations that follow provide detailed guidance on the meanings and usage of each expression and pattern. Additionally, dialogue examples written like lines from a drama help learners naturally understand how these expressions are used in various contexts.
Furthermore, MP3 audio files recorded by professional voice actors are provided, enabling learners to listen to all expressions, example sentences, and drama lines. By following along with the audio and reading as if acting in a drama, learners can practice not only pronunciation but also intonation.
