“Looking back, the past 40 years have not simply been an accumulation of achievements, but a continuous process of discipline, transformation, and rebirth. The years I spent singing in countless opera houses and concert halls around the world were more than personal triumphs — they were a meaningful journey in which I walked the global stage together with Korea.

This album, CONTINUUM, represents both the culmination of that long journey and the beginning of a new chapter.

As the title CONTINUUM suggests, my music never remains in one moment; it continues to evolve, moving toward new possibilities. This album includes highly demanding coloratura arias that I have never previously recorded, alongside new works by contemporary composers.

Rather than staying on familiar paths, I continue to challenge myself with new music — that is the spirit with which I approach music.”
